Peter J. Mogayzel, Jr., MD, PhD

Dr. Peter Mogayzel is Director of the Cystic Fibrosis Center and Medical Director of the Pediatric Specialty Clinic at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and Professor of Pediatrics at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. He attended Brown University and received his MD and PhD. degrees from Boston University, followed by an MBA from Johns Hopkins University. He completed his pediatric residency at the University of Washington and pediatric pulmonary and pediatric critical care fellowships at Johns Hopkins in 1998 before joining the faculty. Dr. Mogayzel is a Fellow of American College of Chest Physicians and the American Academy of Pediatrics and a member of several professional organizations including the American Thoracic Society. His research interests include the regulatory properties of the CFTR gene, mucociliary clearance, and development of new therapeutics for cystic fibrosis. Dr. Mogayzel has published many journal articles and several book chapters on a variety of topics related to cystic fibrosis, and he is an ad hoc reviewer for several journals, including the Journal of Cystic Fibrosis and the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine. Dr. Mogayzel serves as Chairman of the Clinical Practice Guidelines for Pulmonary Therapies and the Therapeutic Development Network Protocol Review Committees of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. He is also a past Chairman of the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Center Committee, which accredits cystic fibrosis centers in the US.

Elliott Dasenbrook, MD

Elliott Dasenbrook, MD is Director, of the Adult Cystic Fibrosis Program at The Cleveland Clinic Respiratory Institute in Cleveland, Ohio. He completed his residency at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine. From there he pursued a fellowship in Pulmonary and Critical Medicine at the Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. He has written or has been coauthor of a number of publications and chapters in textbooks and has peer-reviewed various activities.

Emily Schaller

Emily Schaller is an EMPowerer. Educator. Inspirer. Comedian. Founder of the Rock CF Foundation. Emily, who received a diagnosis of cystic fibrosis at age 18 months, speaks to groups large and small about thriving with cystic fibrosis, the importance of exercise, advancement in treatments, all to EMPower patients with CF patients and their families. Mixing equal parts wit and humor, Emily takes the crowd on a journey full of funny stories, epic breakthroughs, and insider insights from living through three very different decades of CF.

Colleen Dunn, RRT, CCRC

Colleen Dunn is a Respiratory Therapist and the Translational Research Administrator at Packard Children's Hospital in Palo Alto, California. She received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Wayne State University. She furthered her education by joining the respiratory therapist program at Northwestern University. She is coauthor of numerous publications on various topics related to cystic fibrosis.

Debra (Debbie) R. Hill Berry, BSN

Debra Hill is a Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Pediatric Pulmonary Department at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center and Coordinator at the Cystic Fibrosis Center at the Children's Hospital in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. She attended the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center, where she earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing. She furthered her studies by earning a Master of Science degree at the same institution. Debra has written various publications and given presentatopms on a number of pulmonary topics.

John P. Nash, MSW, LMSW

John Nash's early years in human services were spent sharing his creative energy with children who were emotionally challenged in settings such as psychiatric units, residential treatment, and schools. He later obtained a Master's degree in Social Work and graduated from the State University of New York in 1994. After graduation he worked as a medical social worker in a visiting nurses program for people affected by HIV and AIDS. Later he spent six years as a medical social worker and coordinator of a hospice bereavement program.

Since August of 2001 he has served as medical social worker at the Cystic Fibrosis Program and the Genetics & Metabolism Department at Albany Medical College and Hospital, providing support and care to persons and families coping with chronic illness. In his role as Clinical Instructor of Pediatrics he lectures medical students and residents on a variety of topics. He is a nationally recognized speaker and has long history of speaking at the North American Cystic Fibrosis Conference.

Amanda Radmer Leonard MPH, RD, LD, CDE

Amanda Radmer Leonard received her Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science from the University of Delaware and her Master of Public Health in Nutrition from Tulane School of Public Health and Tropical Medicine. She has been working with patients with cystic fibrosis since 1995 and has been at the Johns Hopkins Children's Center since 1997. In clinic Amanda assesses the nutritional status of patients with CF and educates them about CF and nutrition. She also presents nutrition lectures for pediatric house staff and medical students.

Cheri Parlaman, MPSA

Cheri Parlaman is the Chief Communications Officer at the House of Ruth Maryland, a nationally recognized service provider for victims of intimate partner violence. Since taking the position in October 2013, she has overseen all agency publications, outreach materials, and press and social media activities. Before that, she was Development Director at the House of Ruth Maryland for four years, leading the agency's first online fundraising campaign that generated over $25,000 in new donations, increasing private revenue by 7 percent and initiating a series of donor recognition activities to increase donor retention rates.

Mrs. Parlaman has a Master's Degree in Public Service and Administration from the George Bush School of Government and Public Service at Texas A&M University and a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. Mrs. Parlaman currently resides in Baltimore, MD with her husband, James and children: Collin 4 (CF), Grayson 20 months, and Madelyn 5 months (CF).
